ARD Disciplinary Procedures Discipline Options and Regulations: Short-Term Suspension

• Short-Term Suspension (up to 10 days): If the behavior is determined to be caused by the student's disability, the student cannot be removed from their assigned placement. Instead, they may receive an in-school suspension (ISS).

• Determining the Cause of Behavior: To ascertain whether the behavior is linked to the student's disability, a comprehensive evaluation involving educators, psychologists, and other relevant professionals is conducted.
